'weight'
On Mark's Daily Apple we can read about the unconquerable Dave!
Such an inspiring story... It touches you, it touched me.
This is with Paleo eating, not LCHF. Very similar but a bit different. Remove grains and starch are common to both. But Paleo is even minus dairy, and plus fruit.
No one in the stone age hunted a buffalo or tiger and even attemted to milk it!
Quite interesting... But I do question the fructose from fruit, but it obviously works for those that eat Paleo.
Great story anyhow and very inspiring!
I doubt it!!!
BUT have you seen a fat dog, cat or hamster? Too many times, right?
That's because animals out in the wild eat what they are designed to eat. Natural food does not make them fat! But pets, they get to eat all our foods, and special pet foods with grains and starch!
Very easy isn't it? I am not saying we should eat the same as wild animals, but that we should eat what our bodies are made for eating. Natural foods!
Today was day 2 of my LCHF course for type 2 diabetics. It went extremely well! LCHF in practice!
We went shopping, looked at different labels and spoke about what to look out for and what to aim for! Looked for hidden sugars and MSG (E621) and totally avoided these products. Aimed for high fat content and low carb content.
Then it was time to go home and start practicing making LCHF food!
Fruit is great - at least it tastes great! BUT fruit is sweets on tress. Fructose is the most fattning sugars you can consume.
Research shows that you get fat from fructose. In the study they took 2 groups of people, both ate the same amount of calories but one ate fructose and the other glucose. The outcome was, those who ate fructose put on weight!
Here is a report (in Swedish:) . Fructose increased body fat and insuline resistance, a pre-stage for diabetes.
The research was originally published in 'Journal of Clinical Investigation'.
I agree, fruit is nice, but that's where it ends. I never eat fruit anymore, although berries on very special occasions.
I have been very obsessed with my scale and my weight! With following results:
- Frustration
- Depression
- Happiness
- Desperation
- Disappointment
- Expectations
- Let down's
- Bad moods
Throw out the scale and use a measuring tape and your own clothes. The scale is never fair to you! It just pust your life and moods on a roller coaster! I have not used my scale for almost a year - having said that, it does not mean I don't struggle with my weight still - co's I truly do! But I can feel it on my clothes, then I know it's better to be more strict or cut down on all the wine or eat a bit smaller meals...
My moods are so much better for it! So throw out the scale and learn to enjoy every morning in the bathroom! Use a few items of clothing as your 'clothes scale' :)!
