Lifezone English blog:
'lchf tips'
A Swedish company has made a cooling lunchbox. I know how often I have food with me when travelling for e.g. And my kids that take food with to school and on outings.
The lid keeps the food cool for 7 hours! You just put it in the freezer overnight and the next day it's ready to keep your food fresh! Me like!
Cut up a zucchini in cm thick slices. Take one teaspoon of your favorite cream cheese and put on each slice. Very yum and easy. Of course make sure the cheese is high fat!!! :)
I bought two really mini pots of herba (leafy parsley and basil) from my local grocery store. Re-planted in a huge pot outside, and after 2 weeks I have loads of fresh herbs! Love summertime!
Cottage cheese is usually very low in fat. This means that in order to eat and feel full you need to eat quite a large amount. A large amount of cottage cheese is also a larger amount of carbs, quite a lot of carbs actually!
I personally feel that cottage cheese is 'diet food' from weight watchers eating style. I use cottage cheese in recipes or when baking lchf breads but just to eat, no, not for me. When I eat I want to feel full. Fat makes you full. And keeps you full for a long time. Cottage cheese just does not do that!
IF however you do enjoy cottage cheese and want to eat it anyway then add some heavy cream to increase the fat amount! And enjoy it! :)
Do you chew gum? Are you struggling to loose weight? Do you do everything right, eating correclty?
Then the gum can be the answer to your problem. The body is expecting food, as soon as you start chewing. Then the body waits with burning fat, co's soon there is more food coming - or so the body 'thinks'. Except gum gives the body no food - only the idea of food.
Quit the gum and I am convinced that you will see results on the scale. As long as you also eat correctly! :)
My wraps are so popular so due to large demand, I have added a new page, only on wraps!
A great filling meal that you can take with when travelling or to a meeting or just at home for lunch.
I have just made a good low carb 'bread'! AND it is really quick to do!
Always enjoy trying new alternatives for eggs. Me and eggs you know, true 'love' ;)
Makes 2 'breads'
1 egg
1 dl / 4 tbs coconut flour or almond flour
pinch of salt
25 g melted butter
Mix the egg in a bowl with a fork, add 'flour' & salt. Melt the butter and add it to the mixture. Mix all together.
Divide up into 2 'soup' bowls and put them in the microwave for around 2 minutes.
Add your favorite sandwich toppings and enjoy!
- Eat extra real fat with every meal, that's what fills you up.
- Measure your waist with measuring tape once a week (if you want to loose weight), more accurate than a scale.
- Swop the milk in your coffee for full fat cream, it is more filling.
- At restaurants ask for butter instead of the potatoes, chips or rice.
- Eat omega-3.
- If there is one thing you should eat organic, be it eggs!
- Always avoid E621/MSG!
- Avoid comforting eating. Buy flowers, a magazine or clothing to reward yourself.
- We all need 'kicks' in life, find yours in something other than food. A good workout, an exciting film, shopping etc...
