Making dinner over the fire…

Today it’s really cold out, snowflakes are falling and I have loads of wood in the shed outside…
I made a nice fire in the kitchen, where I have an old fashioned stove/oven (of course I also have the modern version, I don’t live that far in the woods in Sweden).
I had an idea, took out my old stewing iron pot and added lots of good foods in there, meat, mushrooms, veg, spiced, garlic, butter, butter, butter, cream… and now it’s simmering away on the fire place, and will be for 2-3 hours.
I can assure you, it is smelling very good in my house, and the heat is spreading warmth…
PS the yellow in the pot is ghee, which I added about 3 times that amount, lovely to make food with, tolerates the heat over a long time…
